Amidst the Enhanced Community Quarantine, Jubilee Christian Academy offers online learning through the Self-Study Program (SSP) and provides spiritual support through the Christian Formation Department (CFD).

Last March 9, 2020 on the supposed first day of the fourth quarter, the Department of Education (DepEd) suspended classes at all levels, both public and private, in the National Capital Region (NCR) from Tuesday, March 10, to Saturday, March 14, 2020.

Following this, the Office of the President declared the Philippines under a State of Calamity and imposed an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) throughout Luzon from March 17, 2020 to April 13, 2020.

With this, Jubilee Christian Academy has prepared an alternative delivery mode of learning, as recommended by DepEd, in order to allow the students to continue learning in their own homes and complete the requirements for the school year.

The Self-Study Program covers all subjects. Instructional materials are sent every week through iTunesU with lesson plans, objectives, guide questions, and instructions for the homeworks.

For Language, Math, Science, and ABM subjects, students are given one week to complete the assignment to be submitted through email or iTunesU. In case of difficulty with the lesson, teachers offer weekly scheduled consultations through Google Meet to answer questions and clarify lessons.

For Physical Education and Contemporary Arts, students are required to pass one output-based homework. Since the Work Immersion of the Grade 12 students was cancelled, they were also required to submit a work portfolio based on their Grade 11 Work Immersion Visit in S.Y. 2018-2019.

The Christian Formation Department (CFD) has also taken measures to provide spiritual and Guidance support. Every week, the Guidance Department performs the “Happy Thoughts” program by sending encouraging messages and quotes. They also offer students the time to talk and communicate with their Guidance teachers weekly through email. Students are also encouraged to deepen their relationship with God through Quiet Time Reflections to be passed every week. Church Involvements can also be passed online after listening to Online Worship services.

In these times of crisis, adaptive measures have been taken in order to provide students with online learning and spiritual support. Let us look to God at this time and thank Him for His continuous provision and protection in our lives. In addition to this, let us continue to pray for the safety of our country and the wisdom of our government. Let us also remember to be compassionate and share our blessings to the people around us.

Hebrews 13:16 says: “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
