Andrew Brian So Named One of Twelve Outstanding Chinese Filipino in the Philippines

Andrew Brian So of 9-Sun Yat Sen was named one of the twelve Most Outstanding Chinese Filipino Students of the Philippines in the 27th Filipino Chinese Outstanding Student Award sponsored by the Ah-Shin Educational Foundation.

Andrew competed with students from other Chinese Filipino schools in a battery of tests where he showcased his Chinese writing and speaking ability. Part of the selection process is highlighting the academic achievements, student leadership skills, and student activities involvement of the candidates.

The Grand Finals, which included an interview of the 24 finalists before a panel, was held last January 11, 2020 at Manila Jing Xiang Ai Xin Kindergarten. Only 12 were selected and named as recipients of the recognition which will be awarded on February 8, 2020 at Fortune Hotel, Manila.

Andrew is the Junior High School Student Council (JHS-SC) President, a committed servant leader, and a vibrant student excelling in many subject areas including Math and Robotics.
