The winning bridge weighed 157 grams and carried 40.25 kg during the contest. Having a total score of 92, the team out performed all other bridges by a large margin. The Voter’s Choice award was given to the bridge that attained the most votes from the coaches of each team.

The contest mechanics required a team of three students to create within three hours a bridge with a span of 50 cm and length and width of 10 to 15 cm using barbeque sticks. The students thus showed their ability to apply concepts in Physics to real life situations in such contests.
