JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL KICKS OFF A NEW SCHOOL YEAR!

Jubilee Christian Academy welcomed its students for school year 2019-2020 through a series of Student Orientations held at the JE Chapel last Friday, August 2, 2019. The Junior High School (JHS) students were welcomed to the annual gathering to prepare and motivate them for the new school year ahead.

The program, hosted by Mr. Timothy Edwards for Grade 7, Mr. Marvin John Angeles for Grades 8 and 9, and Mr. Jonathan Habana for Grade 10, was started with a prayer and followed by a devotion given by Ms. Rowena Lumahan and Rev. Joel Pan that encouraged the students to raise the bar for God’s glory.

To springboard the orientation, the students were first asked to play a simple “4 Pics, 1 Word” game that encompasses the theme of the school year.

Afterwards, Ms. Frances Rea Gaza, Junior High School Principal, shared the achievements and milestones of the department in the previous school year. She also challenged and encouraged the students to continue to strive for excellence for God’s glory this school year. She stressed how everyone will face ‘desirable difficulties’ designed to stretch them and push them to be better than they were before.

Mr. Marlon Bugayong, the Junior High School Student Activities Coordinator, informed the students of the different Student Activities Department programs. For level-related concerns, Ms. Maria Zetha Gavino, the Junior High School Level Coordinator, introduced some new school rules and emphasized the existing ones.

This program served as a welcome to the new and old students to the Junior High School Department and to the new school year. To God be the glory!
