JCA PRESCHOOL’S MY FAVORITE BOOK DAY! By Mrs. Carol B. Seming

The October Lightbulb saw the students and teachers celebrating different books weekly and culminating it with My Favorite Book Character Day. The activity aimed to foster love for literature and friendship among students.

In the first week, the students ate snacks based on the suggested menu (e.g., cereal, fruit, cookie/bread) in The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Next, the students and teachers wore different hats each day in the second week just like Hamilton in Hamiltons Hats. Finally, the students gave out love coupons to their loved ones in the third week as inspired by the love of Big Nutbrown Hare and Little Nutbrown Hare in Guess How Much I Love You.

Last October 27, 2022 the Preschool Department was filled with storybook characters  as Kinder students and teachers celebrated the culmination of the October Lightbulb Activity. Students enjoyed the short parade to the different offices and faculty rooms.  They also had fun participating in the story of The Enormous Carrot.
